Here are the most important infos about the Debian 3.1 preconfigured system.
Passwords and boot:

root : vcf.Wii
oper : 7hKpd.
oper can sudo certain commands, use visudo as root to modify
grub bootmenu: Linux 2.6.17.4 MRO with VSIB, Linux 2.4 for fallback, memtest86 for test

Sources:

/usr/src/linux-2.6.17.4 : kernel 2.6.17.4 with bigphysarea patch
/usr/src/bigphysarea : a copy of the bigphysarea kernel patch
/usr/src/vsib : full VSIB driver source code and precompiled tools (wr, sf, ft3, rtspectrum, ...)
/usr/src/tsunami : Tsunami UDP data transfer source code from SourceForge CVS

Settings:

/boot/grub/menu.lst : has bigphysarea=40000 kernel param for 4kB*36000=144MB
/etc/modules : has vsib bigbufsize=144000000 for 144MB (multiple of 8000) buffer
/etc/udev/permissions.rules : has KERNEL="vsib", MODE="0664", GROUP="root" for automatic /dev/vsib entry
/etc/localtime : softlinks to /usr/share/zoneinfo/UTC, for Tsunami and PCEVN use UTC!
/usr/local/siteDeployConfigs : settings templates that can be applied with switchTo.sh (generally you shouldn't use)
/etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf : four sata disk raid setup
