In 2000 Metsähovi participated in two VLBA+EVN joint sessions at 22 GHz in February and in November. The 22 GHz sessions were thin tape observations which suffered from poor recording quality. One of the reasons may have been improper pre-contouring of the recorder head after thick tape sessions. Also there were BBC problems during the February sessions and in November the H maser instabilities caused some troubles. The reason for the maser instabilities was the failure of the maser room air conditioning system.
