This is the Debian GNU/Linux prepackaged version of GNU wdiff,
a program to compare two files word by word. GNU wdiff was written by
Franois Pinard <pinard@iro.umontreal.ca>.

This package was put together by Santiago Vila <sanvila@ctv.es>, from
sources obtained from:

ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/wdiff-0.5.tar.gz

The changes were fairly minimal, and consisted of adding various
debian/* files to the distribution.

This release incorporates the patch by H. J. Lu posted to gnu.utils.bug
on 22 December 1996, which fixes the core dump problem with libc 5.4.x.
