This directory, dists, is the canonical way to access the distributions.
Each distribution can be accessed by name or state from here.

stable, or hamm     - the released Debian 2.0
proposed-updates    - possible updates to Debian 2.0.  See the README there.
frozen, or slink    - the stabilizing next release
unstable, or potato - the development release.  Use at your own risk.
sid                 - new architectures.  Might have a mix of stable, frozen,
                      and unstable sections.
