The High Rate Data Link (HRDL) of AMS is the primary channel for conveying scientific data from the detectors to the Ground Support Environment (GSE). It will also be a way to get down monitoring data measured during loss of signal cycles in MIL-1553 downlink. This document describes a possible subsystem which can receive, store, and make available the data arriving via HRDL. The scope of this document is geared towards the 100 hour shuttle mission, but the same principles should be applicable in ISS phase as well.
