List of SourceForge projects of the observatory that might be useful in different fields:

Tsunami Transfer Protocol:
Tsunami UDP Protocol: A fast user-space file transfer protocol that uses TCP control and UDP data for transfer over very high speed long distance networks (1 Gbps and even 10 GE), designed to provide more throughput than possible with TCP over the same networks. It is based on original Indiana University 2002 Tsunami source code but has been significantly improved and extended. Includes FTP-like client and server command line applications for normal file transfers. It has additionally been extended for high rate real-time data streaming in eVLBI radio astronomy and geodesy (VSIB, PCEVN DAQ). Licensed under the IU open source license.
Mark 5 File System
A read-only filesystem for the Conduant StreamStor disk recorders. It provides normal file access to the data stored on the diskpack. Works in default kernel 2.4 and kernel 2.6 (Mark5 Debian, RedHat). On a Mark5 this file system makes any 'disk2file' extra steps obsolete, as you no longer have to copy scans out onto a 'real' disk before you can access them
IBM Cell processor programs:
Several programs and examples for IBM Cell processor platforms such as the Sony Playstation 3. The project includes a multi-threaded user math kernel framework and a 6 station real-time VLBI correlator core. There is also a real-time classic spectrometer for Cell and Intel platforms, and other Cell source code including many vectorized math functions. The project site provides helpful tips for Cell power programming.
